i'm moving to Chicago!

no, j/k, but i love this city.  sitting at my computer on the 90th floor of the Sears Tower in my own corner office with the most amazing views of the city and lake michigan, marveling how Chicago seems like such a better place to live than new york.  hmmm...

i must give credit to those consultants:  traveling is exhausting, but i lucked out and got an amazing suite at the Four Seasons.  ahhh...the good life

Since it seems that a lot of people are in France/Europe, I decided to post some pics of the family trip to Europe.  Most of these are all of Paris/Versailles.  Went to London, but didn't really take that many pictures.  Enjoy!  (Hope you can see them.  I haven't had the best of luck in the past posting pics on xanga)

Shirley and I by the Eiffel Tower.  Not the greatest picture.  My mom is great, but she doesn't take the best pictures.

Beautiful night picture of the Eiffel Tower.  Classic...

Also not the greatest picture.  We waited for a long time before we found these two American girls to take a picture.  I took a great picture of them, and this is what they took of us.  That's what we get for taking theirs first.

Lighting a candle at Notre Dame.  I am so cheap.    It costs $2, but figured it was worth it since admission was free compared to $16 for Westminster Abbey in London.

Afternoon tea at Kensington Palace in London.  Notice how my mom is sneaking some dessert off my plate.  Sneaky, sneaky.

Dad and Shirley

Random picture resting on a bench on the Pont Neuf in Paris.

Family Eiffel Tower picture.  We are one colorful family...

Isn't Paris romantic?

Shirley and Dad outside in Les Jardins des Tuileries (Gardens outside of Louvre)

Lounging outside the Louvre.  Traveled all the way to Europe to do the same thing I do every weekend in Central Park.

More lounging.  We look horrible because we just woke up from our afternoon nap.

And even more lounging...

...Until finally, I got up to take a picture and headed into the Louvre.

Picture of Versailles gardens

And another...the grounds are huge!

Yet another.

This time with Shirley and I.

Inside the King Louis XIV's bedroom chamber at Versailles

And finally, one last picture...

my VP just ditched me to head to the 7pm redeemer service, the one i was hoping to make.  i'm a little conflicted because it's hard to get mad at someone for going to church, but a little annoyed that i'm still here turning pages for him...  i should be rushing to get out of here, but i'm writing in this.

anyways, it's been a whirlwind of a week with sleepless nights at work, our healthcare investor conference, and a fun weekend in jersey/AC.  hoping for an easy week with many people gone on vacation, but somehow that never seems to be the case.  at least there's some good tv to look forward to.

this is a rather short update, but at least it isn't a quiz.

i'll be at reunions for at least a small part of it.  see some of you guys soon.

You scored as Upper East Side. With its world-famous museums, elite schools, luxury boutiques, and proximity to Central Park, the family-oriented Upper East Side is home to some of the city's richest residents. And yet, just east of Lexington, the neighborhood can also be surprisingly affordable.
